Arriving early in the evening, I was please to find the place abuzz with chatter in Chinese and Japanese. One table was spare, we had arrived just in time.
We followed trend and ordered a few snacks to share: spring onion pancake, panfried vegetable and shitake mushroom dumplings. We had wanted the steamed vegetable buns too but they had run out that day.
The dumplings were filled with fresh greens and were better than any I had tasted in a while.
The spring onion pancake was lightly fried and although the texture was light, they could have been flavoured with more spring onion.
To wash down the fry up, I enjoyed a cocnut milk with grass jelly.
I was impressed. The food is cheap but well made. This place is far more popular than its predecessor and for good reason.
