Chapel Street is the haven for both the tacky and the divine when it comes to shopping, eating, bars and entertainment. Among the junk, one can manage to find a gem. Having visited this strip many times, I was surprised to have never recognised Mileto’s. Set up as a food store and cafe, Mileto’s has the atmosphere of a cute, country cottage with a dark, wood interior and fresh local produce on display.
I ordered the haloumi burger which came with salad and mayonnaise instead of sweet chilli as they had run out of the latter. It was a pleasant light lunch, accompanied with a coffee to create a relaxed Sunday time.
My friend ordered the felafel salad and was equally impressed.
Mileto’s is a peaceful spot for a weekend catch up. My coffee was a little too milky but the food was simple, well-priced and gratifying.
