Wanting a relaxed brunch the other day, my Hawthorn friend suggested that we go to the “new” Tribe. Located on Glenferrie Road, this café has recently been updated and appears to be doing well.
We sat out the back in the covered courtyard and commented on their interesting music selection.
I ordered the veggie Benedict which came out with tomato and half an avocado instead of ham. A sprig of parsley garnished the top, pushing it into the ‘café quality’ meal category. The muffins were well toasted and buttered. The hollandaise sauce was smooth and tangy.
It was a very simple meal but enjoyable with fine company in a relaxed space.
