My favourite is the eggplant parmigiana pizza which they only serve sometimes as a special, but the standard melanzane pizza is also very good. Other combinations include pumpkin, leek and fior de latte; taleggio, rocket and potato; fetta, sundried tomatoes and olives, and; of course, margherita.
The bases are perfectly cooked in a large wood fired oven. The tomato sugo, used as a base for most of the pizzas, is fresh and tasty. I love accompanying the tomato based pizzas with lots of chili oil (fresh chili soaked in olive oil).
The goats’ cheese ravioli in salsa verde is difficult to resist.
The home made gelato is delicious with the flavours depending on the day. The nutella calzoncino is amazing.
Despite going here often, I am always too tempted and end up eating too much. Self control, when it comes to food, is something I can only try to apply. Especially when the food is this good. Doesn't Oscar Wilde say the only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it?
Whilst there are sometimes spare tables, I recommend booking to ensure you get a spot.
